Saturday was a big day. Once every century, the date allows one to spell out the first five digits of Pi all day and the first ten for a single second. I decided it would be cool to do a “pie crawl” in celebration of the momentus occasion. We set out for the Mission district…
In the 80’s when I was just a kid, I used to love PBS. When we only had Channels 2, 4, 9, 11, 13, 16, 22 and 53, I gravitated to the cartoons on 53 and the children’s programming on PBS, which was 13 and 16. Times were simpler back then.
My vacation was about to start. I left work on Wednesday and on the walk home, I lost my balance in the dark, slipped on the uneven pavement and fell. My ankle bent in the wrong direction. My knee got all scraped up.
Lots of stuff has happened and I really just haven’t had the time or energy to write it all down. For my birthday, we did a whole week of celebrating. I turned 33 on 1-11-11 which was a pretty cool numeric/binary birthday.

After an amazing time at Saturday’s Day One of Bridge School Benefit XXIV, which bled into early Sunday morning with the closing set from Buffalo Springfield and the Rockin’ in the Free World encore, I was surprisingly not overtired and very excited for day two.
I “live-blogged” Bridge School Benefit XXIV Day One on Facebook yesterday. I’ll be expanding a bit here in the real blog entry.
