We haven’t been to SDCC in years, but there are plenty of offsite things there now which make a trip down worthwhile.
Before we headed out to the southeast and then the middle, we headed just south to San Mateo and the 10th anniversary edition of Maker Faire Bay Area.

STAR WARS CELEBRATION EPISODE VII It was a period of long queue lines. Thousands of people queued for many hours either to see a panel, obtain an autograph or purchase a limited edition item.
For more than three decades, I’ve been a fan of professional wrestling. It started with my grandmother. She was a huge fan of a show called Studio Wrestling that was produced locally during the days of the Wrestling Territories. My mother recalls taking her to the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh for a bunch of matches…
My wife thought it would be a good idea for me to document the little events that have made up the past couple of weeks, including Trio Sentier with Marika Hughes, and Game Loading: Rise of the Indies.
In the 80’s when I was just a kid, I used to love PBS. When we only had Channels 2, 4, 9, 11, 13, 16, 22 and 53, I gravitated to the cartoons on 53 and the children’s programming on PBS, which was 13 and 16. Times were simpler back then.
This weekend was huge. We were double or triple booked from Friday through Sunday and had to make some hard choices.
My vacation was about to start. I left work on Wednesday and on the walk home, I lost my balance in the dark, slipped on the uneven pavement and fell. My ankle bent in the wrong direction. My knee got all scraped up.
