Supporting the Arts

I woke up this morning to discover that Poe has a performing appearance coming up this Saturday in LA. While researching the inevitable road trip, I discovered it is a David Lynch Foundation event. Tickets are $1000 a seat. Poe will have to go on without us this time.

Instead we invested in two upcoming stage productions, which cost much much less than $1000 total. We contributed to The Fourth Messenger (formerly Sid Arthur), featuring music by Vienna Teng. That isn’t due to open until 2013. We also gave a bit to the local stage production of Cory Doctorow’s awesome book Little Brother, which opens in January 2012. I am excited to see how the book translates to stage when we go see the show shortly after my birthday.
