I just finished reading Y – The Last Man, a 60 issue comic series by Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra. A lot of other people really liked this series, but I had never picked up on it, until after it was over. In a way that is a good thing, because going months at a time and only seeing that one small part of the story each month would have been torture. It is kind of like television in the way that you have to see each episode weekly or what have you and it is easier to watch it all in order on DVD.
The series was really great. The apocalypse that kills all of the males in the world except two (or so) left so many great stories for them to tell. It was very good writing with decent art as well. I’m glad to have been able to experience it. However, shocking plot twists near the end were even worse than anything Joss Whedon has done!
